Looking for a fun and inexpensive way to treat yourself? We’ve got quite the treat for you – DIY face masks! It’s time to clear your Friday night schedule, call up your besties and host an at-home spa night. But don’t waste your money on costly products. You can mix up these recipes with ingredients you already have in your pantry.

Give these simple DIY face masks a shot:

1. The Hydrating Avocado Mask
Try this moisturizing recipe from Self magazine for a soft and smooth complexion.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • 1 teaspoon plain organic yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon virgin olive oil – optional

Mash the avocado until it’s soft and then mix in the yogurt and honey until it forms a paste. Apply mixture to your face and let sit for 10 to 15 minutes, then wash away with warm water.

For even softer skin, incorporate a teaspoon of virgin olive oil.

2. The Pore-Obliterating Egg White Mask
If you’re looking for a recipe that’ll tighten your pores and eliminate acne-causing bacteria, try this face mask.

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

Whisk the egg white until fluffy, gradually adding the orange juice until smooth. Then, sprinkle in the turmeric powder and mix until fully combined. Apply mask, leave on for 15 minutes or until dried. Wash away with warm water.

3. Honey and Papaya Lightening Mask
According to Marie Claire, this mask is designed for those who live with hyperpigmentation, sun spots and uneven skin tone.

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1/2 cup mashed papaya

Simply blend the honey and papaya together until it reaches a creamy consistency. Apply mask, leave on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. Be sure to moisturize after.

4. The Breakfast Mask
Correct and calm an oily complexion with this mask.

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal

Combine egg yolk, honey and olive oil until smooth. Then, gradually fold in the oatmeal. Apply mask and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, and then moisturize.

5. Pore-Tightening Acai Berry Facial
Berries are loaded with antioxidants that fight wrinkles, tighten the skin and minimize pores, so try this face mask from Real Simple magazine.

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons acai powder
  • 10 fresh whole berries – blueberries, raspberries or blackberries
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Pulverize the berries in a blender, gradually adding the sugar, acai powder and olive oil until it reaches a coarse consistency. Massage mixture onto face and let sit for about 5 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

6. Hydrating Strawberry Facial
Strawberries are rich in vitamin C, which is known for lightening pigmentation and improving skin tone. Once the berries are mashed up, the grainy texture makes an excellent exfoliating solution. Try this easy recipe from Real Simple to reap the benefits.

Ingredients:

  • 10 fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup bee pollen
  • 3 tablespoons raw honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • A few drops lavender essential oil

Mash the strawberries, and then mix in the bee pollen, honey, olive oil and lavender until it reaches a coarse consistency. Apply to the face and let sit for at least 20 minutes. Rinse solution with warm water.
