Sometimes life can get in the way of vital shower time. Unfortunately, that means enduring second-day hair. Though avoiding shampooing your hair everyday can be beneficial to its health and growth, it can be quite tedious figuring out how to make the look of greasy hair alluring. Don’t stress though, there are plenty of techniques to cover up and conceal the oil causing your hair to fall flat that won’t take a chunk out of your morning.

Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo may seem like an obvious choice, but it does a terrific job of eliminating excess oil that has gathered in the roots of your hair. Sheknows recommended spraying this onto your roots and then blow drying your hair afterward for a fresh, voluminous look. There are a ton of affordable dry shampoos, so hit the drugstore and get ready to rock your second day hair with confidence!

Beanies
If the grease is too much to handle, hide it. Pick out your favorite beanie and cover up the top of your head. It’s simple, easy and takes no time at all, so you can set your Casio Baby G digital watch with alarm for a bit later and catch a few more minutes of sleep. For even more flair, curl the ends of your hair so they flow down from the beanie in a cute and chic manner.

Sleek ponytail
Refinery29 suggested putting that excess oil to use by styling your hair into a sleek ponytail. The oil works  to your advantage here, and by using your fingers to smooth out your greasy locks, you can pull it back tightly into a chic ponytail. Spray some hairspray to smooth any flyaways and emphasize the sleekness. If your hair seems a little bumpy, heat up your flat iron and straighten those strands out before you pull it back.

Beachy waves
If the rest of your hair seems to have lost necessary volume, opt for the beachy wave look. Pick up a sea salt spray from your local drugstore and spritz it into your hair. For additional wave, add some curls using a curling wand. Wellnessbin advised you add curls or waves if you have especially thin or flimsy hair, because those hair types tend to lose volume the quickest.

Headbands
To add a little distraction from the top of your hair, try wearing a sparkly or colorful headband. It will help mask part of your hair and add a bit more glamor to your outfit that day.
